Fine Black Slate Bell Striking Mantel Clock by (R & C) Richard et Cie
Superb looking Bronze and polished Slate Mantel Clock by R & C Richard et Cie/Richard & Co. 8 Day bell striking movement which has been fully cleaned and overhauled as can be seen in images, the case has been cut back and re-polished and looks as good as the day it was made, complete with original Bronze Lion ringed handles to either side and Bronze Lion Paw feet. Runs perfectly as you would expect striking the halfs & hours upon a bell. Original pendulum marked 273 corresponding to the movement number which is also marked R&C London & Paris. Clock most likely to have been made in Paris and then retailed in London Circa 1890. There are very few clocks out there of this standard and the images really do not do it justice.. 31cm (W) max width of feet. 20cm (D) max depth of feet front to back.
