1830 - 1840s (Napoleon I era). The piece is of the finest quality, with the base made or mercury-gilded bronze and featuring 3 swans, with possibly calla lilies and foliage.The glass portion is hand-blown, cut and faceted crystal. I do not know if it is original, but it is 19th C. It is free of chips, cracks, or damage other than two thin water rings in the center. Overall, the piece measures a substantial 17.25" tall, and the base is about 7.75" in diameter. The base weighs about 5 lbs.
And is solid, hand-chased, bronze at its very finest. The underside reveals many very old screws and square nuts that confirm the early construction of the piece.
