A fine french violin made by JTL after Stradivari circa 1910, Virtuose model. A fine antique french violin made in the Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy workshops circa 1910. The violin was belonging to the "Virtuose" series, which was amongst the best instruments ever produced by JTL. The ribs, neck and head are of the same wood, and original. The varnish, of an orange-brown color on a golden ground, is entirely original and well preserved. The violin is in an excellent condition and ready to play.
The violin has been entirely revised and set-up, including a new set of pegs, a new tailpiece & chinrest, a Despiau bridge and Thomastik Dominant strings. On the inside back can be found the original JTL label Copie de Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis anno 1721.
