Fine antique french master violin made by Didier Nicolas Ainé. Fine antique french violin made in Mirecourt by Didier Nicolas Ainé circa 1830. The top is made of a single piece of spruce, and shows regular grain lines. The back is made of one piece of highly flamed maple, the curl descending from the left to the right. The ribs, neck and head are of the same wood.

The fine varnish is of an orange-brown color on a golden ground. The violin is in an excellent condition, and has been entirely revised and set-up in our workshop, including a Despiau bridge, a set of Thomastik Dominant strings, a new set of pegs and new tailpiece and chinrest. On the inside back can be found the original triangular fire brand of Didier Nicolas, "Didier Nicolas Ainé à la Ville de Crémonne". The violin is also signed on the inside back near the sound post D. The violin is guaranteed 100% authentic.

An illustrated certificate can be propose for a little supplement after the sale if you are interested. The instrument comes with a new rectangular case. The violin has a superb warm and brilliant sound, which projects well, and is responsive and easy to play.
