Superb antique french master violin made by Amédée Dieudonné, 1930. Amédée Dieudonné was one of the best masters of the first part of 20th century in France, and his works are always of exceptional quality. The top is made of two parts of spruce, and shows regular grain lines.

The back is made of two parts of a fantastic flamed maple, the curl descending from the center joint. The ribs, neck and head are of the same wood. The varnish is of an orange-brown color on a golden ground. The original pegs with olive caps fit perfectly. The violin is in a mint and wonderfully preserved condition, and is ready to play.

This instrument has been entirely revised and set-up, including a new tailpiece & chinrest, and a new set of Thomastik Dominant strings. On the inside back can be found the original signature of Dieudonné, A. Gaudu owned a music shop in St Brieuc at the time. The instrument is Guaranteed 100% original and authentic. The instrument comes with a BAM french case. The violin has a deep and brilliant sound, with an excellent projection and power, and is responsive and easy to play.
