The top is made of two parts of spruce, and shows regular grain lines widening to the edges. The back is made of two pieces of highly flamed maple, the curl. The violin is covered with a beautiful orange-brown varnish on a golden ground. The violin is in a splendid condition, with just a tiny repair at the right f hole. The gold olive pegs, the bridge, and even the case are original. The violin has been entirely revised and set-up, including a new tailpiece, a new chinrest, and Thomastik Dominant new strings set.
On the inside back can be found the original Collin-Mézin label, including the number "538" and the year "1933". At the opposite can also be found the original signature. The violin is guaranteed 100% authentic. We can propose a pictured certificate after the sale, just ask. The violin has a deep, mature and brilliant sound, a great projection, and is responsive and easy to play.
