The ribs, neck and head are of the same wood. The fine varnish is of an orange-brown color on a golden ground.The violin is in an excellent condition, and has been entirely revised and set-up in our workshop, including a set of Thomastik Dominant strings, a new set of pegs and new tailpiece and chinrest. The bridge is stamped "Delanoy Bordeaux".
Alexandre Delanoy was a violin maker in Bordeaux in the first part of 20th century. On the inside back can be found the original label of the Laberte workshops, "Modèle d'après Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume à Paris, 3 rue Demours-Ternes JBV". The violin is guaranteed 100% authentic. An illustrated certificate can be propose for a little supplement after the sale if you are interested.
