The top is made of two parts of spruce, and shows narrow grain lines widening to the edges. The back is made of a fantastic single piece of highly flamed maple, the curl. From the left to the right. The extraordinary oil varnish, of a deep red-brown color, is a pleasure for the eyes. The purfling is very regular, the f holes are carved in the style of Guarneri, the edges work and the head are of the highest level.
Paul Bisch belongs to the few number of the very talented Mirecourt makers of the first half of 20th century. His style is very personal, and his gorgeous instruments, still affordable, should gain in celebrity and price in the next decades.
The violin is in a splendid condition, with just a few nicks on the varnish. The gold olive pegs are original. The violin has been entirely revised and set-up, including a new tailpiece, a new chinrest, a new sound post, a Despiau bridge and Thomastik Dominant new strings set. On the inside back can be found twice the original fire signature of the master, along with the number "118" and the year "1930".
The violin comes also with his original certificate dated 1933 and signed by Paul Bisch himself! The violin is guaranteed 100% authentic. The instrument comes with a new rectangular case of quality.
