Millet worked primarily in monochrome blues or reds, and this two-toned vase (with dark accents) is rare, resembling a (Chinese)sang-de-boeuf glaze. The vase also somewhat resembles a moon-shaped flask, again a Chinese form. The piece is properly signed on the underside, and is large, measuring 12" tall, and 8.5" wide.
It is in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, or crazing. There is a light 3 scratch towards the bottom (as shown in the last photo). Felt has been added to the underside to prevent scratching.I carefully inspected it, and it is not hiding any apparent damage, although the threads are becoming loose.
