Originally with alarm mechanism (now missing) but still retaining the original alarm setting disc and tension spring. 30 hour movement with independently wound wheel trains. Clock with hanging hoop and spurs.
At the top of the images below I have included A short video to give you an idea of how the strike mechanism runs. Please allow the video to load before playing it through. For comparison, the last image shows the clock next to a standard sized English lantern clock (not for sale). The movement is in good condition, if rather dirty and tarnished. Not too much wear to the pinions, wheels and pivots. The wheel trains run when pressure is applied to them. The escapement functions very well with minimal drop.
Apart from the alarm mechanism the movement is complete. The countwheel has been restored and a new pendulum made. The front fret has a small section missing from the lower RH corner. Missing side doors and back plate. No drive weights or cords.
Overall height of movement to top of bell finial 30 cm (11 3/4). Dial diameter 16.5 cm (6 ½).Overall movement depth front to back tip of hands stud to tip of spurs 18 cm (7 1/8). Plates 11.8 cm /(4 5/8) deep x 11.5 cm (4 1/2) wide. Internal height between plates 11.3 cm (4 7/16). 38 x 36 x 28 cm.
